Y.Bhg. Datuk Dr Jeyaindran Tan Sri Sinnadurai, the Deputy Director-General of Health of Malaysia is one of our esteemed keynote speakers for the Summit. His sessions regarding the developments and issues of Houseman-ship in Malaysia during our Medicine in Malaysia Conference in 2014 garnered a remarkable response from all 300 delegates, leading MMI to have him back as one of our keynote speakers for the Summit. This time, on top of the Houseman-ship Programme in Malaysia, he will also be speaking about Sub-specialty Training Programmes in Malaysia.
Having been directly involved in the recent developments and improvements of both training programmes, he is the most qualified candidate to talk about the issues that have arisen in the past and the strategies taken to overcome them, as well as the challenges that come along inevitably. These programmes, which are his brainchild are new and improved, fulfilling the purpose of having an organized and fairer system to cater to the needs of junior doctors who must eventually make an informed decision about their career pathways in the future. They also provide a personal development plan for those keen to undertake postgraduate training in the Ministry of Health, putting in place a wholesome and all-rounder approach to training in Malaysia.
